About Me

Hello! My name is Ginny, and I am a Child and Youth Care Practitioner based in Hamilton, Ontario. For
over two decades, I have been providing support to families with children and youth facing complex
mental health and developmental needs in Southern Ontario.

The past few years have been so challenging for families, and the publicly funded children's mental health system has been stretched to its maximum capacity.  While I continue to work full-time within this system, I have noticed a significant change to its philosophy of service delivery.  The publicly funded system focuses on short-term services, which can be helpful for some families.  However, this approach means that families often end up on long waitlists for short bouts of service with new service providers each time. Relationships matter, and having someone on your team that truly understands you and your child's needs makes a difference.

That's why I am dedicated to offering something different.  No waitlists, no session limits, and a plan that is designed around your needs, not the system. Together, we can find what works best for you and your family.

Services are available in your home (Hamilton/Halton Region), or virtually across Ontario.  Services provided by CYCPs are not typically covered through extended health care plans. I am also able to offer services that are supervised by a Masters of Social Work clinician and may be covered through extended health care plans.  Please contact me directly to discuss fees and options.
